I just got home from my first real proper road trip, and Iām buzzing with refreshed energy and renewed inspiration. For our first wedding anniversary, Ben and I drove up and down the California coast between San Francisco and Oregon for a week. What had initially started as a trip to Paris morphed into the dream of something more slow-paced and in touch with nature, and it was just what the doctor ordered. We traded museums for vistas, cobblestones for redwoods, and were still able to eat some incredible cheese.
Not normally a woodsy kinda gal, I usually find myself compelled by urban travel - museums, restaurants, people watching. But for this week, time slowed down as I found inspiration in the mists of cloudy beaches, through the branches of redwood forests, and on the tails of coastal winds.
